HDS communications reached out to our 2021 graduating students to hear from them in their own words about their experiences at HDS, the people who've helped and inspired them along their grad school journeys, and their plans for the future.

How I've Changed

HDS taught me, on the one hand, the value of my voice, my perspective, my thoughts, and my opinions. I deserve to claim space! On the other hand, my experiences at HDS have taught me the vital importance of stepping back, actively listening, and learning from the lived experiences of those around me.

Message of Thanks

I am so grateful to RPL, professors, and classmates, for inspiring, supporting, and guiding me as I clarified the ways in which I might combine my passions for Religious Literacy and Elementary Education.

Future Plans

I hope to stay in school for a lifetime! Upon graduating, I have plans to teach third grade, where I am beyond excited to translate lessons in student-centered pedagogy and anti-bias education as I learn from and with elementary students.
