HDS communications reached out to our 2021 graduating students to hear from them in their own words about their experiences at HDS, the people who've helped and inspired them along their grad school journeys, and their plans for the future.

Message of Thanks

I am overcome with gratitude for the brilliance, generosity, humor, and dedication to learning of all of my HDS classmates, and a few faculty members in particular: Prof. Todne Thomas, Prof. Michelle Sanchez, Prof. Stephanie Paulsell, and Prof. Amy Hollywood.

Their commitment to supporting students' learning in any way possible, alongside the wonderfully challenging and generative courses they taught (even through the horror and trauma of the last two years), utterly changed my relationship to my own life, mind, spiritual exploration, commitments, curiosities, and hopes for future work and study.

However, the relationships and conversations cultivated among this year's graduating class of students is likely the only reason I was able to finish the program. My love, gratitude, and awe for my classmates cannot be expressed. It is my deep hope that we never stop talking, laughing, arguing, sharing meals, and demanding more of our world as we move forward into the future.
