HDS communications reached out to our 2021 graduating students to hear from them in their own words about their experiences at HDS, the people who've helped and inspired them along their grad school journeys, and their plans for the future.

Messages of Thanks

I am incredibly fortunate as I cannot possibly answer this question entirely. To name a few: My mother and father, for their support and courage to come along on an unfamiliar road.

Professor Rob Wisnovsky, it is thanks to his generous encouragement and advice over the years that I pursued these studies.

Tobias Wedell, in loving memory, for teaching me how to dream and so much of what has made me the person I am today.

Sakiko Isomichi, whose camaraderie through these two years has been a great source of joy and exploration.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the friends, classmates, sisters/brothers, and teachers who have walked with me along the way, for however long. I am blessed to have shared time on this path with you all.

Memorable Moment

Every night I worked at Andover Library, so thank you to all who shared those moments of encounter and conversation across the circulation desk.

Future Plans

To continue dreaming boldly.
