HDS communications reached out to our 2021 graduating students to hear from them in their own words about their experiences at HDS, the people who've helped and inspired them along their grad school journeys, and their plans for the future.

How I've Changed

I have gained a greater appreciation for the religious diversity of the world as well as the importance of interacting with others in religious settings on their own terms.

Memorable Moment

The first time all MDiv and MTS students sat for a class of Theories and Methods, seeing the diversity and zeal of my academic colleagues.

Favorite Class or Professor

The "Seminar for Advanced New Testament and Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean" taught by Giovanni Bazzana. The opportunity to read so many recently-published texts and to discuss those texts with their authors was invaluable to my education.

Message of Thanks

I would like to thank my advisor, Giovanni Bazzana, for overseeing my time at Harvard Divinity School. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me throughout my graduate studies.

What I Hope to Be Remembered By

I hope to be remembered by my passion for knowledge that transcends traditional religious barriers.

Future Plans

I will be attending Duke Law School as a JD candidate.
