Harvard Divinity Faculty Presenting at AAR, SBL Annual Meetings

Several Harvard Divinity School faculty members will be in San Diego, California in late November to present during the 2019 American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meetings.

The conference, which takes place November 23-26, brings thousands of professors and students, authors and publishers, religious leaders and interested laypersons together each year. It is the largest event of the year in the fields of religious studies and theology. Some 10,000 people are expected for the 2019 Annual Meetings, where more than 1,000 academic sessions and additional meetings will be offered.

HDS is hosting, along with the Center for the Study of World Religions and the Committee on the Study of Religion, Harvard University's AAR/SBL reception. The reception will be held November 23, from 9 to 11 pm, at Petco Park.

  • This session is dedicated to the memory of Anne Monius, Professor of South Asian Religions at Harvard Divinity School.
