Video: Aslan on Faith, Jesus, and Fox News
Reza Aslan, M.T.S. ’99, author of the best-selling book “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth”, spoke about Jesus as a historical figure and revolutionary insurrectionist against Roman authority.
Aslan, whose book soared on the best-seller lists after an infamous Fox News interview last summer, addressed the perils of discussing religion from a scholarly standpoint, his personal faith, and the challenges faced by a scholar who writes for a popular audience. (Read coverage of the talk at HDS in Harvard Magazine and the Harvard Gazette, and view another interview with Aslan on "The Daily Show".)
