 HDS opened its 198th academic year on Thursday, August 29, 2013, with its annual Convocation activities. Featured in the video above are welcome remarks by HDS Dean David N. Hempton, an introduction to the speaker by Rev. Jonathan Walton, musical performances by HDS students and staff, and a keynote address, 'Devotion in the Study of Religion,' by Professor Stephanie Paulsell.
