Walter Johnson, Winthrop Professor of History and Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, made a presentation on September 21 a part of the series "Have Mercy: The Religious Dimensions of the Writings of Toni Morrison."

Toni Morrison, the Robert F. Goheen Professor in the Humanities, Emerita at Princeton University and recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, will give the Ingersoll Lecture on Immortality on December 6, 2012, at 5 pm, in Sanders Theatre. HDS will host a working group on the religious dimensions of Morrison's writings throughout the fall semester, convened by HDS professors Davíd Carrasco and Stephanie Paulsell.
